Then he whispered something to his agent/manager/lackey/whatever and signed my book. At that moment I didn't care that pictures weren't allowed, and I wasn't as disappointed that my Catman drawing didn't show up, the greatest Batman ever (I don't care what anyone says) gave me an old man wink.

His agent/manager/lackey/whatever then asked me how to spell my name, I said 'A-D-E-L-E', and Adam said 'What?', so his manager told him again and again, and while his manager was yapping away, the greatest moment of my adult life happened. I had my Batman shirt and he said 'Is that Batgirl?' and I said "No, Batman", and I asked if he signed personal things and they said yes, so I put my autograph book up. Andrew got his money ready (since I had my wallet somewhere hidden), and then there he was, high up on his table. After more wandering, I found this neato volunteer named Adil who led us ahead of the lineups and to Adam West. And Andrew got addicted to the Hi-Chews, so I gave him my mango ones, cuz they were pretty gross. The Ramune was nasty, I'm never listening to people's advice again. We then wandered some more around the dealer tables, and I got me some Hi-Chew candies, some YanYan cookies and peach Ramune water. Well no, what was REALLY nuts were the nerds watching folks playing WoW and going batshit crazy over duels and instances. Well no, what was nuts was folks paying big bux to play World of Warcraft outside of their homes.

Good thing I told him to go around, or Holy Embarrassing! We then saw a bunch of nerds playing hero clix and board games and stuff, and then wandered into the World Series of Video Games area. Adam West, and Andrew nearly walked into him. Then as we wandered the area to take a look at who else was where, I saw him. He also had Marv from Sin City on his table and some other head. I had this head in my lap, and it weighed a ton. I did tell him I liked Lord of Illusions, and he simply said "wow that's an old one." (And by old, he means like 90s XP) My pic with him is pretty snazzy. In fact he's done so much, I couldn't decide which DVD to bring to get signed, so I had him sign my book. He's this really cool guy who does amazing f/x and makeup work in movies.

The only person there at the time was Greg Nicotero. After roaming the artist alley we ended up in the autograph area. There was also this booth that did fantastic comical art. They had some sweet artists that did REALLY nice comic book things, but.no Green Arrow. We went through the rows and rows of dealer tables and booths, and ended up in the artist alley. Andrew asked me why there were Aquaman things, and I said it was probably for the homosexuals, cuz honestly, no one else likes him. So now Andrew and I can't go around wearing Batman & Robin t-shirts. They had this huge shirt dealer booth, but again, no Green Arrow. Charlie the owl attaches to his arm with magnets. I found a second one and got the deal I wanted. Mid-Nite, which I declined due to no deal. The Specter, Captain Marvel, Big Barda & Mr. Name any other character and there probably was one. After getting the comics (yay! goal complete!) I decided to look for a Green Arrow action figure. I can't wait for them to go on adventures around town, courtesy of Andrew's camera and my crazy imagination. From that same vendor booth, I bought a mini-Anguirus plushie to go with my mini-Godzilla plushie (which I had bought from the same store a year ago, just at their actual store, not a booth at a con).

The very first things we got were free t-shirts, posters and postcards, plus this ginormous gigantic gargantuan plastic bag, I dubbed the Uber Bag of Awesomeness. The comics weren't the first things I got though. Those vendors were lucky they were the only ones who had it because they charged me tax, those bastards. I found Justice League 12 and Green Arrow Y1 3 pretty quickly, but GA Y1 4 was really hard to find. My first goal was to hit up the dealer room to make sure I got the comics I wanted before they sold out. I however will ALWAYS have my Adam West memories. So I'm back from the uber con of geekness, and I had a blast! Sadly it was a little overwhelming for Andrew and I don't think he'll want to go to another, but he still enjoyed some bits! And he'll always have memories of murphing vaginas, spandex penises, boy or girl? and Storm Troopers!
